March 7, 2014—The NACE/CARS 2014 trade show will feature a new OEM Technology & Innovation Expo, the Automotive Service Association (ASA) and Alliance of Automobile Manufacturers (Alliance) announced Friday during the Vision Hi-Tech Training and Expo in Kansas City, Mo.

The NACE/CARS 2014 trade show will take place July 30-Aug. 2 at the Cobo Center in Detroit. The OEM Technology & Innovation Expo, sponsored by the Alliance, is scheduled for Aug. 1.

The event will include panel discussions with OEM experts on topics such as telematics and innovations in diagnostics and repair. There will also be several new advanced technologies on display, product application demonstrations, and an array of connected vehicle models to provide show attendees with hands-on experience.

“We are very excited to have the Alliance as the sponsor of the OEM Technology & Innovation Expo,” said Dan Risley, executive director of the ASA. “Automotive repairers will have a chance to hear about the latest OEM technologies and what we may see in the future as far as vehicle technology. Our ASA leadership has discussed the importance of more information and education on telematics and other top technology issues for some time. The OEM Technology & Innovation Expo is now a reality for our Detroit show.”
