May 29, 2014—Winners of this year’s FenderBender Awards will have an opportunity to be recognized in front of hundreds of industry peers at the Collision Industry Awards, presented Nov. 6 as part of the Collision Industry Conference (CIC) during the SEMA Show in Las Vegas.

FenderBender will present awards along with the National Auto Body Council (NABC), the Collision Industry Electronic Commerce Association (CIECA), VeriFacts and the Hall of Eagles.

“We are grateful for the opportunity to present the FenderBender Awards alongside these distinguished organizations during the automotive aftermarket’s premier trade event,” said FenderBender Editor Jake Weyer. “Being part of the Collision Industry Awards allows us to thank some of the industry’s most deserving professionals on a grand stage.”

The Collision Industry Awards are set as the first CIC agenda item and are slated to take place from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. in the Las Vegas Hotel, which is directly connected to the convention center where SEMA is held. Those who wish to attend the only the awards ceremony and not the full CIC session must email Jeff Hendler at [email protected] to RSVP and have the CIC attendance fee waived.

The FenderBender Awards program, sponsored by BASF and Kia Motors America, aims to recognize the most talented, dedicated, influential and inspirational professionals in the collision repair industry—individuals who have made a difference in the lives of their colleagues and the industry at large.

Aside from being honored at the awards ceremony this fall, winners in five categories are recognized with a feature in the October issue of FenderBender and receive exposure on fenderbender.com. Winners will also receive a press release about their accomplishments to distribute to local media outlets.

Nominating someone for this prestigious award is free, quick and easy—just go to fenderbenderawards.com and fill out the nomination form. FenderBender is looking for entries in the following categories:

Executive (shop owner, co-owner, CEO)
Management (shop manager, production manager, foreman)
Administrative Support (receptionist, office manager, estimator)
Shop Worker (tech, tainter, parts manager, helper, detailer)
Wild Card (vendor, educator, consultant, insurance executive, association leader)

FenderBender editors will select one person from each category for an award. The deadline for submissions is July 1 at 11:59 p.m. CST.
