Valley Collision Center Joins CARSTAR

Oct. 6, 2016

Oct. 6, 2015—On the heels of FenderBender columnist Kevin Rains’ announcement that his shops have joined CARSTAR, his sister, Kelli Rains-Back, owner of Valley Collision Center in Amelia, Ohio, also signed with the company on Sept. 30.

Rains-Back said her decision was based on the fact that her shop is newer—only five years old—and the increasing number of MSOs in her area have made it difficult to compete.

“It’s harder and harder to compete with the bigger brands. I like that CARSTAR gives you 100 percent control to do what you want,” said Rains-Back. “They have so many resources and different teams to help you grow your business.”

Rains-Back discussed the opportunity with her brother after CARSTAR reached out to him. Shortly thereafter, CARSTAR contacted Rains-Back with a similar opportunity. Ultimately, Rains-Back said the decision was a family decision.

“With CARSTAR, I like that you can still have a family feel with a national brand,” Rains-Back said

On Tuesday, CARSTAR hosted a welcome dinner with both of the Rains and their spouses as a special welcome to the family event.

Rains-Back said that the shop is beginning its 90-day rebranding period with CARSTAR.
