AkzoNobel announces new training offerings

Sept. 13, 2012

Sept. 13, 2012—AkzoNobel Sikkens Acoat Selected has released three new training classes that are designed to help shops create sustainable processes and practices.

AkzoNobel said its new classes are available to all Acoat Selected members. Each of the following classes has been approved for I-CAR points through the I-CAR Industry Training Alliance program:

• Cycle time Processing Reduction (CPR): AkzoNobel said the class focuses on the impact that production management has on cycle time, and how production managers can work smarter rather than faster or harder.

• Rules of the Road: Standardization and Visual Management (PCE): AkzoNobel said the class is designed to help shops create and implement a standardized visual workplace while eliminating waste.

• PCE Ready: AkzoNobel said the class addresses the processes that shops must have in place to manage vehicles without delays or interruptions throughout the repair process.

“The addition of these classes expands our industry-leading class assortment to 23 courses,” said Barry Rinehart, North American services manager for AkzoNobel. “The combination of the Sikkens brand paint technology and our leading edge business education programs and highly skilled business consultants that work with our business clients has created metrics of success that exceed industry trends.”
