April 28, 2016—Thatcham Research announced Thursday that it will host a “Bodyshop of the Future” presentation and exhibit on June 14 at its Repair Focus conference in an effort to bring together professionals and key industry influencers to focus on the future of the auto repair industry and its trends, challenges and opportunities.

Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from auto manufacturers, insurers, and repairers and their opinions and ideas as to what the changing industry will look like in the future.

Topics will include challenges of modern vehicles, such as mixed materials, powertrains and safety technology. About 20 exhibitors will attend including Radical Solutions with its Spanesi Touch system for 3-D vehicle mapping and diagnostics. Tesla technicians will demonstrate a live aluminum repair training session on a Model S. The conference will provide updates on industry trends including salvage code.

“As ever, Repair Focus will feature a high quality lineup of speakers and a range of opportunities for opinions from across the industry and beyond to be heard and considered. We’re really excited to be able to facilitate what we think will be a fascinating insight into the Bodyshop of the Future,” Matthew Wright, head of commercial services at Thatcham Research, said.
