Standard Tools Releases Company’s First AMU

Oct. 24, 2013

Oct. 24, 2013—Standard Tools and Equipment Co. announced Wednesday the development of an air makeup unit, Sure-Cure AMU, to support its line of paint booths.

The Sure-Cure AMU is ETL certified, and designed, manufactured and sold by Standard Tools and Equipment with the goal of creating a safer, quicker air makeup unit, the company said in a statement.

“We find that our most successful endeavors come from knowing our industry and seeing that we can create a product that is best in class,” said Standard Tools and Equipment CEO Michael Kestler. “There is a great need in the market for a safe and reliable unit that has all the bells and whistles included in the marketed price. Customers were fed up with the lengthy wait times that are currently associated with air makeup units. They didn’t understand how we could design, customize, build and ship a paint booth in less than 10 days but they had to wait months, for their air makeup unit.”

The Sure-Cure AMU spent two years in the research and development stage before the prototype was sent to Intertek for testing and certification.

“Once we decided that we wanted to develop a state-of-the-art air makeup unit, we worked with the smartest, most knowledgeable professionals in the industry,” Kestler said. “We’re proud to offer you the safest AMU on the market today.”
