Aug. 8, 2012—Pre-registration for the Society of Collision Repair Specialists’ (SCRS) Repairer Driven Education (RDE) series during the 2012 SEMA Show is up 300 percent compared to registration numbers in July 2011.
The SCRS attributes growth with its RDE series to an expansion in participant demographics. In addition to a large participant base of independent U.S. repairers, the SCRS reports significant growth in participation from multiple shop operators (MSOs) and international automotive businesses that represent more than 12 countries.
“The first two years of the RDE program brought a lot of very positive response from the attendees, and we believe that the numbers clearly indicate that our program at the SEMA Show is delivering exactly what the industry is looking for right now,” said Aaron Clark, chairman of the SCRS. “We have worked hard to put together a program that specifically addresses solutions to existing business conditions, and are glad to see the industry responding with early approval.”
The SCRS’ 2012 RDE series will include 21 seminars. Registrants are able to attend seven seminars, which will be offered from 12:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. each day of the SEMA Show, and two special headline presentations scheduled for Oct. 30 and Nov. 2. at 10 a.m.
The RDE series is sponsored by several industry organizations, including SEMA, PPG Industries, GM Genuine Parts, BASF, LKQ, Alliance of Automotive Service Providers (AASP), PBES and Collision Hub.
