POW Collision CARSTAR Raises $787 for Cystic Fibrosis
POW Collision CARSTAR team members rolled up their sleeves and grabbed the soap to wash cars for a great cause during their Soaps It Up Car Wash fundraiser on Thursday, July 17. The event united community members for a fun-filled afternoon dedicated to supporting those affected by cystic fibrosis.
Generous donations from the car wash and meal sales raised $787. The event welcomed about 60 cars and sold over 30 Chiavetta’s marinated chicken BBQ meals in Newfane New York. All proceeds will be directed toward life-changing research and care for individuals living with cystic fibrosis.
“We’re so grateful to everyone who came out to support the cause. Whether it was a donation, a drive-through car wash, or just stopping by to cheer us on — it all means a lot,” said Jon Rowcroft, owner of POW Collision CARSTAR. “Being part of this community means stepping up when we can, and this event is one small way we can help drive change for people living with cystic fibrosis.”
The event featured live music and giveaways courtesy of local radio station 106.5 WYRK, creating a festive atmosphere for all participants.
“Soaps It Up is more than just a fundraiser — it’s a CARSTAR tradition that shows how powerful local businesses can be when they come together for a cause,” said Damien Reyna, chief operating officer, U.S. Collision, Driven Brands. “The dedication from the team at POW Collision CARSTAR is a perfect example of what community involvement looks like. We’re proud of the difference they’re making.”
