March 2, 2023–Opus IVS (Intelligent Vehicle Support) has become a corporate member with the Collision Industry Electronic Commerce Association (CIECA), according to a press release.
Opus IVS started in 2020 and was “formed from a consortium of companies” consisting of “Drew Technologies, Autologic, AutoEnginuity, Farsight, Bluelink, and Auto Techcelerators.”
Opus IVS aims to help technicians work on “complex vehicles” by providing them with “OEM-approved diagnostic tools, remote services and live repair assistance.” The company has “approximately 400 employees” located in “seven offices spread over three continents.”
Opus IVS was introduced to CIECA through the Collision Industry Conference (CIC), as well as “other organizations and personnel.” Opus IVS had been working with “MSOs that needed data integration” and made the decision to join CIECA.
Opus IVS CEO Brian Herron said that joining CIECA allows the company to connect with “other organizations that are utilizing CIECA standards,” and that such standards are important because “they help companies like us share data utilizing a standard format.”
