On Jan. 13, Dominick Ruggerio, Rhode Island Senate Majority Leader, introduced Senate Bill 2055, legislation that would regulate the generation, collection, analysis, dissemination and sharing of connected car vehicle data.
The legislation seeks to protect consumer rights relating to the access and sharing of that data. S.B. 2055 has been assigned to the Senate Judiciary Committee for further consideration.
