USTelematics, Inc. has announced that it has reached a revenue sharing agreement with Apple, Inc. to share ongoing revenues on iTunes programming downloaded into the company's Voyager Mobile IPTV. According to a company spokesperson, this will enable USTelematics to generate sustainable, long-term revenues while placing the company at the forefront of the connected-car revolution.

USTelematics' new Voyager product line is the first to offer live Internet protocol TV (IPTV) for passenger automobiles. The technology integrates an unparalleled suite of functions and features for the multi-billion dollar mobile entertainment and data communications marketplace.

"This agreement enables us to monetize Voyager's iTunes connectivity on a sustainable, long-term basis," says Howard Leventhal, the chief executive officer of USTelematics. "We already had completed and announced the technical integration of iTunes into Voyager. Now we are enabled to generate income from commissions paid to us by Apple when our customers purchase iTunes programming using Voyager."

USTelematics is commercializing an expanding line of products that target the telematics marketplace, including solutions that enable online internet access, email and other communications within passenger and commercial vehicles.

Voyager provides live and downloaded wireless mobile internet protocol TV (IPTV) and audio programming for rear-seat passenger vehicle infotainment, and integrates a broad suite of features and functions, including the creation of a mobile Wi-Fi internet hotspot to enable online computer usage in the car and on the road, as well as DVD, movies, TV, Xbox and other computer games.
