Record-setting comparable-store sales growth is being reported
by the Tire Factory, a member-owned organization of independent
tire dealers with more than 200 retail locations in 15 western
states.
Comparable-store units were up more than 20 percent as member
purchases rose more than 15 percent.
“Our tremendous sales growth in a slow economy is due to
bringing more value to our members who pass along the savings
to their customers,” says CEO John Kreidel.
“Tire Factory owners keep re-investing in their stores, the
Tire Factory brand and their people to improve the customer
experience, and it is really paying off,” he reports.
“Members have improved facilities this past year and focused
their efforts on the most recognized tire brands in the world,
such as Goodyear, Dunlop and Nokian Tyres,” says
Kreidel.
“I’d like to recognize our members for creating phenomenal
sales results in a tough economic climate,” says Chris
Cornelius, the organization’s chairman of the board and co-
owner of Clair & Dee’s Tire Factory in Rexburg, Idaho.

“It’s only by working together as a team with our management
and key manufacturers that we were able to help our members
succeed in 2010,” Cornelius notes. “I’m proud to be a member of
Tire Factory and the direction we are going.”
Tire Factory serves its membership via two regional
distribution centers in Portland, Ore. and Salt Lake
City.
