The executive team of Geely Automobile disclosed recently that the company is considering a significant overhaul of its marketing system.

According to the overhaul plans, both the Geely and Maple brands are expected to disappear in the future. All of Geely’s all products are expected to use Gleagle, Emgrand and Shanghai Englon brands.

The company plans to set up separate business divisions for the three brands with separate general managers. Liu Jinliang, general manager of Geely's sales arm said the move is an important part of the company’s market transformation plans for the following two years.

The targeted sales for the three brands combined are in the 200,000 to 400,000 unit range.
