GM approves PPG waterborne refinish systems for dealership repairs

STRONGSVILLE, Ohio – General Motors has approved the PPG Envirobase High Performance and Nexa Autocolor Aquabase Plus waterborne basecoat systems from PPG Automotive Refinish for all of its dealership repairs. All products in the Envirobase and Aquabase waterborne basecoat systems are included in the approval, and are indicated in the “GM Approved Refinish Materials” bulletin, GM4901M.

PPG says its waterborne technology has proven itself for more than a decade, and the company was the innovator of the world’s first commercially-viable waterborne refinish basecoat back in 1992.
