Emico, a manufacturer of automotive catalytic converters for aftermarket applications, unveiled a revamped logo in the wake of its sale to Advanced Clean Air Technologies Global (ACAT).
The companies unveiled Emico’s new branding in their shared display at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas.
Emico, based in Barrie, Ontario, Canada, commissioned the new logos, which feature an “E-sided” or “3E” cube alongside the company name, which has been shortened from its original “Emico Technologies.” The logo has been adapted to work with four different color backgrounds: white, black, light blue and dark blue, colors that align with ACAT Global’s branding. The new logos were designed by Code Four, a creative agency based in Huntington Beach, Calif.
“The new Emico logo is distinctive and is an easily recognizable image which will increase brand awareness and recognition in the aftermarket. We hope this new logo will help identify and grow the Emico brand for years to come,” said Joseph Moch, CEO at Emico and ACAT Global. “Using Emico as the new brand name is more consistent with how our customers know the company and it allows our brand to better align with market brand references.”
The branding will ultimately be reflected on the company’s products, packaging, web site and catalog.
Emico manufactures direct-fit, universal-fit, OE and performance catalytic converters, manifolds and down pipes, supplying its products to aftermarket customers in the U.S., Canada, Mexico and several European countries. The company was founded in 1996 when it purchased all the production equipment, tooling, quality assurance gauges, parts and materials inventory from VW Canada to manufacture automotive catalytic converters and other exhaust components.
