The Automotive Service Association (ASA) has announced promotions for two of its employees.

Robbie Addison Haas has been named director of affiliate relations and strategic accounts, and Leona P. Dalavai Scott has been named director of marketing and communications.

Haas, in addition to being director of affiliate relations and strategic accounts, will continue managing ASA’s collision and mechanical divisions. She has been with the association 19 years.

“I’m looking forward to building a stronger relationship with the ASA affiliates,” said Haas. “By improving communication, the affiliates and divisions can work together to better serve the needs of all ASA members.”

Leona Dalavai Scott joined ASA’s marketing and communications department in 2004 as editor of AutoInc. Prior to that, she had spent many years working for nonprofits and editing publications as well as working on various marketing and communications initiatives. She holds degrees in journalism and political science from the University of Kansas.

“I am very excited about this new opportunity to serve ASA,” said Dalavai Scott. “A key component of our marketing efforts will be to focus on retaining as well as recruiting new members to ASA. We also want to be more strategic in our marketing and communications efforts to deliver products and services that are fresh, engaging and meet our members’ ever-changing needs.”

The Automotive Service Association is the largest not-for-profit trade association of its kind dedicated to and governed by independent automotive service and repair professionals. ASA serves an international membership base that includes numerous affiliate, state and chapter groups from both the mechanical and collision repair segments of the automotive service industry.

ASA advances professionalism and excellence in the automotive repair industry through education, representation and member services. To take advantage of the many benefits of membership in ASA, visit www.ASAshop.org or call (817) 514-2923 or (817) 514-2931.
