Redline Detection announces new collaboration with Jaguar Land Rover

CHICAGO — Redline Detection this week announced Jaguar Land Rover Limited has named its technology as mandated in the more than 3,000 dealer repair facilities in 112 countries.

CHICAGO — There is some high-end equipment on the Automechanika Chicago show floor, and more of it now is mandated for higher-end vehicles.

Redline Detection this week announced Jaguar Land Rover Limited has named its technology as mandated in the more than 3,000 dealer repair facilities in 112 countries.

The company is making a new JLR High-Pressure Diagnostic Leak Detector that replicates the boost load of a turbocharged or supercharged engine so the sealed integrity of the entire system can be tested with the engine safely off.  Redline Detection reports that this technology delivers 40 times the pressure and many times the volume of a traditional EVAP smoke machine.

“It’s critical for repair and maintenance of turbo-charge, turbo-diesel engines,” said Alex Parker, executive vice president of Redline Detection.

Additionally, Parker said Redline Detection will be able to disseminate the high-level education that goes with the tools, making processes like this, combining tools and education, the way going forward.

“Needless to say, we’re delighted to be working with JLR,” Parker said . She adds that Jaguar Land Rover is at the forefront of making their facilities ready for these repairs by mandating equipment and technology used from the start. The same technology now will be used on these vehicles throughout their lifetimes.
