The Alliance of Automotive Service Providers of New Jersey (AASP/NJ), through their official publication, New Jersey Automotive, surveyed its members regarding the status of the local industry, reactions to coming trends and to understand the business practices of shop owners in their state. Questions on the survey include:
  • How would you rate your current state of business?
  • How has steering affected your business?
  • Do you feel insurers have been more or less willing to reimburse for Paint and Materials based on figures derived from a cost accounting system?
  • A year after its launch, how has PartsTrader affected your business?
  • And much more…

This is just one example of how AASP/NJ reaches out to the local industry to find the real ins and outs of running an automotive repair facility in our state.

“We are constantly working to keep our finger on the pulse of this industry,” says AASP/NJ President Jeff McDowell. “As shop owners, we always wonder what the guy down the street is doing in his business. This survey allows us to see what issues our industry is most concerned about and how we as an association can help them. This is a perfect way to get a snapshot of what’s going in our state as well as a microcosm of the industry as a whole.”
