Moppert Brothers to gift Recycled Rides vehicle

Sept. 8, 2015
Moppert Brothers Collision Services Inc. is again participating in the Recycled Rides program, and is gifting a car this week.

Moppert Brothers Collision Services Group Inc. is once again extremely proud to participate in a nationwide vehicle donation program called Recycled Rides. This program is a community awareness project whereby members of the National Auto Body Council (NABC) repair and donate recycled vehicles to families and service organizations in need across the country.

Moppert Brothers is scheduled to make a donation of a 2012 Toyota Highlander on Thursday Sept. 10 at its Corporate Headquarters located at 645 Kedron Ave in Morton.

“Our goal is to give back to our community,” states Harry J Moppert Sr., president of Moppert Brothers. “By partnering with a national organization such as NABC we can have an impact right here in our community and across the country. I want to thank our employees for their expertise in repairing the vehicle as well as our vendors for their generous parts contributions and GEICO Insurance who donated the vehicle. Without them, reaching this exciting moment would not be possible,” he said.

The vehicle is being donated to The Michael J. Strange Foundation, a non-profit organization set up in the memory of Michael J. Strange, who was killed in action on Aug. 6, 2011 in Afghanistan. Michael was a Navy Cryptologist who served with an elite SEAL Team. The Foundation provides grief support services to our nation’s Gold Star families. A Gold Star family is defined as a family who has lost a loved one in service to our country in time of war. The Foundation serves the Gold Star community while honoring Michael’s dedication and commitment to our Nation.

“Moppert Brothers Auto Collision Specialists Inc. is celebrating our 40th year in the Collision Repair Industry and it feels great to be able to continue on our tradition of giving back to the communities in which we serve. We look forward to participating again next year and encourage other auto collision repair businesses to participate in this worthwhile cause,” said Harry Moppert Jr., third generation management.
