H&V Collision Center is excited to announce our new distinction as a ProFirst Certified collision repair facility.  Launched by American Honda Motor Co. in March, 2015, the ProFirst Certified program identifies a select group of collision repair facilities that have committed to a high degree of training, have the proper tools and equipment and exhibit professional customer care.  As a trusted collision center serving the upstate New York and Kingston areas we realized the importance of acknowledging the quality and popularity of Honda and Acura vehicles. We are more than pleased to be able to assure our Honda and Acura customers that they will be leaving their cars with technicians who have been thoroughly trained to work with their specific vehicles. As of now, we are the only ProFirst Certified repair facility to be serving our areas of coverage, with five of our seven locations officially certified.

The ProFirst Certified program requires that shops first achieve Gold Class status, the highest level of training afforded by the Inter-Industry Conference on Auto Collision Repair (I-CAR), the recognized industry leader for collision training.  Through this process, collision technicians receive intensive training on all aspects of the collision repair process.

Honda / Acura-specific training is also required for ProFirst Certification. This currently includes instruction on: Using Honda / Acura Service Information, Honda and Acura High Strength Steel Repair and Honda and Acura Restraint Systems.  To keep up with technology, shop technicians will be required to complete additional Honda / Acura-specific classes as they are introduced.  A total of 11 classes are planned over the next 18 months.

As a benefit of being a ProFirst Certified facility, H&V will have access to all Honda and Acura factory repair information for both mechanical and collision repair for all years of Honda and Acura vehicles.  With automotive technology changing as fast as it is, having access to current factory information is crucial to make safe and proper repairs.

As a ProFirst Certified shop there are certain standards we must reach and maintain. In addition to the tools and equipment already mentioned we are required to keep our facilities clean, organized and customer-centric.  Annual inspections will be made by an independent third party on behalf of American Honda to ensure compliance with the stringent ProFirst requirements.  And of course our customer service will always be attentive, enthusiastic and genuine.

We sincerely value and appreciate all of our customers. We trust that, as a ProFirst Certified shop, we are able to enhance our customer’s experience, especially for Honda and Acura owners.  Our main goal will always be providing a stress free process from beginning to end that consistently results in top-quality repairs.

At H&V Collision Center we know that becoming a ProFirst Certified collision repair facility is a tremendous step forward to provide a positive repair experience for Honda and Acura owners, and all our customers.
