Giving back is a responsibility that CARSTAR Auto Body Repair Experts take great pride in fulfilling. For more than 25 years, the collision repair centers that make up North America’s largest MSO network have had a great history of supporting their local communities.
One way of giving back has been through the National Auto Body Council’s (NABC) Recycled Rides® Program. Recycled Rides is a nationwide community service project whereby members of the NABC repair and donate recycled vehicles to families and service organizations in need in their own communities. Recycled Rides recruits collision repairers, insurers, paint suppliers, parts vendors and others, to contribute in their own, yet synergistic ways. The number of CARSTAR stores who participate in the program has grown steadily since it began.
“All of the participating shops put a lot of time, effort and heart into going the extra mile when they repair and rebuild these cars,” said Dan Young, SVP, Insurance Relations, for CARSTAR Auto Body Repair Experts. “CARSTAR is proud to have such a wonderful and charitable group of owners as part of our network.” Young also sits on the NABC Board of Directors and is Chairman of the Distracted Driving Committee.
So far this year, 16 vehicles have either been donated, or will soon be donated, by CARSTAR locations through the program. The following CARSTAR Shops, along with the insurance provider and charity involved in each donation, have participated in the program.
