Service King Collision Repair Centers, through its ongoing commitment to investing in local communities, this week officially committed a grand total of $180,000 to various Dallas-Fort Worth non-profit organizations. The contributions were made possible through a record amount of donations and sponsorships collected at Service King’s annual DFW Golf Event in October.

The presentations included a $70,000 donation to SafeHaven of Tarrant County, the primary beneficiary of October’s golf event.

“The impact generated through the annual DFW Golf Event is something our entire team takes great pride in,” said Jeff McFadden, Service King President. “This year, we were amazed at the generosity of everyone involved including our loyal sponsors, business partners and hundreds of golfers that made it all possible. Our team, led by Regional Business Development Manager Christine Barry, has done a phenomenal job ensuring we are able to make a lasting impact on these great organizations.”

The event, now in its 21st year and hosted Oct. 19 at Frisco’s Stonebriar Country Club, attracted more than 280 golfers in a tournament that has grown to become an autumn tradition in the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex.

In addition to a $70,000 donation to SafeHaven, Service King representatives were able to present $30,000 to The Samaritan Inn shelter in McKinney, Texas, $1,500 to the Children’s Advocacy Center of Collin County, $10,000 for a pair of Susan G. Komen Race For the Cure events in Dallas and Fort Worth and $5,000 for Leukemia Texas.

Service King plans to utilize the remaining funds for various area non-profit organizations throughout the remainder of the 2015 fiscal year.

Service King, through the joint efforts of its teammates at more than 275 collision repair centers across the U.S., has raised more than half a million dollars for dozens of non-profit organizations in 2015 alone.
