CARSTAR Canada celebrated the opening of the 250th CARSTAR location in Canada this week, reaching a decade’s long milestone for the Hamilton, Ontario based company.

CARSTAR Digby, (Digby, Nova Scotia) will hold the distinct honour of being CARSTAR’s 250th location in Canada.

“This really is a great occasion for the company.” says CARSTAR North America President, Michael Macaluso. “We began franchising in Canada over 20 years ago and since our first day in 1994 have been focused on providing consistent service and integrity across all locations; we owe our success to this philosophy.”

“In the last 18 months, we have grown from 180 to 250 locations serving the Canadian collision market which is quite remarkable. Today we are proud to provide our insurance partners and driving customers with a much more expansive service area from coast to coast.”

CARSTAR’s focus in Canada, and throughout all of North America, over the next three years, is to increase franchise partner profitability and to strengthen and continue growing their network of stores. In Canada, CARSTAR has a target of having 262 locations by the end of 2016.

Macaluso also expects CARSTAR North America to exceed 500 locations by mid-summer 2016; positioning them as the continents largest network of collision centres in North America.
