VeriFacts Automotive, at their 5th Annual Invitational “Fix It Right, Fix It Smart” Symposium on Feb. 19, 2013, in La Jolla, Calif, announced that Douglas Irish has been promoted to president of VeriFacts Automotive.

In his new role, Irish will maintain his current responsibilities for day to day operations, product planning and development as well as expanding opportunities into new markets and also move to a more visible role as the company’s industry point of contact.
"Doug has proven to be a valued associate and has a deep understanding of the industry and VeriFacts role in that industry. He has the unique perspective as a former technician, shop owner, and manager along with 20 years of experience on the insurance side of the business which, we believe, will reinforce VeriFacts’ position as the market leader for independent collision repair verification,” says Farzam Afshar, VeriFacts Automotive CEO and Co-founder. "As VeriFacts Automotive expands our business we believe Doug’s experience and people skills will broaden our company’s visibility in the marketplace with insurers, repairers and manufacturers."
During introductions at the Symposium, Mark Olson, VeriFacts’ COO introduced Irish saying, “We have a surprise today for everyone and even Doug does not know this, I would like to introduce the new President of VeriFacts Automotive, Doug Irish.”

About Douglas Irish
Irish held a variety of technical and administrative positions of increasing responsibility over a twenty year period at MetLife, focused on process improvement, vendor relations, product testing and implementation and most recently as Claims Technical Development Administrator. In several previous positions, he managed and developed material damage teams, relationships with MSO and Consolidator networks and provided expertise for claim processes to the IT Department for new product integration. Mr. Irish holds a BA in Business Management from Saint Leo University.
