On Thursday, August 6, one deserving CSRA resident experienced a life-changing event — the presentation of vehicles to provide her independence and the ability to work and take care of her family — thanks to Kendrick Paint & Body and car donor, GEICO, along with the National Auto Body Council Recycled Rides® program.

The presentation was held at the Kendrick Paint & Body, 211 15th Street, Augusta, GA 30901.The recipient was Ms. Sandra Black, an employee in the local healthcare system. During the COVID- 19 pandemic,
her hours have been cut, and her income greatly reduced. In addition, she has been sharing an unreliable vehicle with her son, and the NABC Recycled Rides® vehicle provides independence and a means of transportation for her.

NABC Recycled Rides® is a unique program in which businesses representing all facets of the collision repair industry team up to repair and donate vehicles to individuals and families in need of reliable transportation. Since the inception of the NABC Recycled Rides® program in 2007, members of the National Auto Body Council® have donated more than 2,500 vehicles valued at more than $36 million.

Additional partners in the NABC Recycled Rides® presentation include 1-800 Charity Cars and Gerald Jones Ford.
