Polyvance releases video detailing fender liner flange repair

Sept. 28, 2020
Many bumpers have a flange about an inch inside the wheelwell where the inner fender liner mounts.

Many bumpers have a flange about an inch inside the wheelwell where the inner fender liner mounts. This feature sticks out perpendicularly from the bumper face and often tears right at the base, where the plastic is thinnest. Because of the 90 degree angle and the thin plastic at the base, this feature is hard to repair, which means many bumpers damaged like this end up going to the landfill.

Polyvance has released a five-minute instructional video on its website and its YouTube channel which shows how to repair this feature using the company’s Nitro Fuzer nitrogen plastic welder and its industry-exclusive 90-degree corner welding rod. The video may be viewed at this link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KbLrrkaXNKo

Call Polyvance at 800-633-3047 or visit www.polyvance.com for more information on any of its plastic repair product or training offerings.
