Allstate hires new senior vice president of claims

April 13, 2011 — Allstate recently hired James Haskins as its new senior vice president of claims for the California and east regions. He starts May 16.

Haskins will manage claim operations in 12 states, including California, New York and Virginia.

“Jim has a tremendous depth of knowledge and success in managing large claims operations and improving customer satisfaction,” said Michael Roche, Allstate’s executive vice president of claims. “His fresh perspective and diverse business experiences will help drive ongoing enhancements to our claims organization.”

Before joining Allstate, Haskins served as an executive vice president with Aviva Canada, a property-casualty insurer. He oversaw that company’s claims and customer service operations from 2010 to 2011 and claims and procurement from 2008 to 2010.

Haskins also worked as a senior vice president for the The Hartford Financial Services Group. He started his career with Progressive Insurance.
