Nov. 20, 2012—CARSTAR Auto Body Repair Experts’ shop locations throughout eastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey are providing assistance to the states’ residents whose vehicles were damaged during Hurricane Sandy.
Several CARSTAR locations will donate gift cards for vehicle repairs to attendees at the annual Turkey Derby at Wall Stadium Speedway in Wall, N.J. The event is scheduled for Nov. 22-24.
The gift card recipients will include select fans at the race, as well as members of the Garden State Vintage Stock Car Club. CARSTAR said many of the club’s members lost their homes and businesses in the hurricane.
The CARSTAR gift cards, which amount to roughly $2,800, will be presented to the recipients by two special guests, including Ray Evernham, ESPN analyst and former Wall Stadium track champion, and legendary modified and open-wheel driver Wally Dallenbach.
CARSTAR locations participating in the gift card donation include:
• The Lakeside Collision CARSTAR in Mount Laurel, N.J.
• Autocrafters CARSTAR Collision in Bensalem, Pa.
• Pete's CARSTAR Collision in Horsham, Pa.
• Hunter's CARSTAR in Norwood, Pa.
• Gus' CARSTAR Collision in Philadelphia
• Champion CARSTAR Collision in Hightstown, N.J.
“Everyone in this region has been hit hard by the storm, and we’re all working together to recover and get our lives back to normal,” said Gus Natelli, owner of Gus’ CARSTAR Collision in Philadelphia. “We understand that people’s vehicles are usually the second most expensive item they own, and that they need to get their vehicles safely repaired so they can get back to work and their daily activities. As automotive professionals, and as members of this community, we want to do everything we can to help them get back on the road.”
