July 26, 2012—National Autobody Parts Warehouse Inc. has been certified by NSF International’s Automotive Collision Parts Distributor Certification program, which certifies distributors of automotive collision replacement parts.
NSF said its Automotive Collision Parts Distributor Certification program is meant to help close the gap in the supply chain between parts manufacturers and body shops.
“An extension of NSF International’s Automotive Collision Replacement Parts Certification program, the NSF Automotive Distributor Certification program certifies the ability of distributors, such as National Autobody Parts Warehouse Inc., to meet stringent performance and quality standards including having an effective system to track orders and parts,” said Bob Frayer, director of NSF International’s Automotive Parts Certification programs.
To earn certification, NSF said National Autobody Parts Warehouse has met the following criteria required by the program:
• ISO 9001-certified quality management system
• Parts traceability and inventory tracking system
• Defective parts procedure including a customer parts complaint process
• Ability to administer a manufacturer’s recall
• Formal corrective action to complaints and an immediate recall plan.
Grand Prairie, Texas-based National Autobody Parts Warehouse is now authorized to use the NSF Certified Distributor mark on its website and promotional materials. The company will also appear in NSF’s online certification listings, and will undergo ongoing quality system audits to maintain certification, NSF said.
“This designation as an NSF International Certified Distributor is a badge of honor for all of our employees who work tirelessly day after day and week after week to ensure our customer’s needs are met. It’s an official recognition of the quality systems we have in place and continue to promote every day,” said Mike Dolabi, president of National Autobody Parts Warehouse. “The NSF Automotive Collision Parts Distributor Certification Program provides an opportunity for National Autobody Parts Warehouse to compete more effectively with much larger distributors in the market.”
