California MSO acquires new facility

Aug. 29, 2012—Cook’s Collision Centers, a multiple shop operation based in California, has acquired a new collision repair facility in Fremont, Calif.

Cook’s Collision Centers’ new 25,000-square-foot facility will serve the northern California communities of Fremont, Newark, Union City, Milpitas and San Jose. The shop was previously known as EMC Collision, and owned by Mazi Ghorbani for 30 years.

“My brother Rick and I have enjoyed a friendship and a mutual respect with Mazi for many years. When this opportunity became available, we knew it would be a perfect fit for our company culture and customer base,” said Don Wood, co-CEO of Cooks Collision Centers.

Cooks Collision Centers now operates 27 collision repair centers throughout California.
