June 27, 2011 — Diamond Standard Parts is expanding its parts offering by including Reflexxion Automotive’s line of steel cowl induction hoods under the company’s brand. The expansion will be effective July 1.
“Our expansion leverages the quality of Reflexxion with the awareness, trust and penetration of the Diamond Standard brand, providing the industry an easily recognized solution when replacement of a quality steel cowl hood is required or desired by the consumer,” said Mike O’Neal, president of Diamond Standard Parts.
Reflexxion cowl hoods are the only cowl hoods made in Certified Automotive Parts Association (CAPA) approved facilities, according to Diamond Standard.
“There are numerous private label cowl hoods in the market, none of which are manufactured in approved facilities or based on anything but price,” O’Neal said. “The commoditizing of a high-end discretionary item is a truth that unfortunately leaves consumer value out of the loop and does not return the vehicle to pre-damaged condition.”
All Diamond Standard cowl hoods will use the current Reflexxion part number ending with the suffix “DS”, according to Diamond Standard Parts.
