National Auto Body Council to Donate Five Refurbished Vehicles

Feb. 4, 2013

Feb. 4, 2013—The National Auto Body Council (NABC) will donate five refurbished vehicles to families in need this month through its Recycled Rides program.

The presentation of those vehicles will take place Feb. 16 at Team Vandergriff Collision Center, one of five participating Dallas area dealership collision centers affiliated with the Van Tuyl Group Inc.

Recycled Rides is a national initiative through which NABC members can refurbish donated vehicles and gift them to families in need and organizations dedicated to assisting others.

“The program brings together different segments of the industry for the greater good by providing reliable transportation to those that might not otherwise have access to it,” said Rafael Hinojos, collision business development director for the Van Tuyl Group.

The cars to be refurbished were donated by Enterprise Rent-A-Car, Hertz Rent-a-Car, Farmers Insurance and two of the participating shops. The five local collision centers that refurbished the vehicles include Team Vandergriff Collision Center, Vandergriff Collision North, Vandergriff Collision South, Westway Ford Collision and Grapevine Ford Collision.
