Unique Build Earns Prominent Display at SEMA

Nov. 4, 2013

Nov. 4, 2013—UPS recently named Jeb Greenstone as the winner of its inaugural “Ride Your Hauler to SEMA” contest. The contest was designed to celebrate the creative talent among the automotive specialty aftermarket.

Greenstone is the president, designer and lead fabricator at Cutworm Specialites, a custom hot rod builder based in Hayesville, N.C. Greenstone’s winning entry is a “Dually Hauler” built by his company for Joe Kral of Minneapolis, Minn.

Greenstone and his staff spent six months building the all-aluminum body and bed, based on the designs of 1930–31 Ford Model A trucks. The vehicle‘s suspension, spindles, axle and lug nuts were built from scratch. The hauler’s rear axle and 19.5” wheels were taken from a motor home.

Built for the street, the engine is a 1967 Lincoln 460 V8 with a Built c6 transmission and can reach roughly 575–600 horsepower. The front spindles and brakes originate from a Ford Super Duty and the interior is completely handmade including the seat, dash, steering wheel and pedals.

A panel of automotive and transportation experts judged the entries based on functionality, innovation and aesthetics.

The vehicle will be on display at the SEMA Show, starting Tuesday at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas.
