Oct. 31, 2011—Service King Collision Repair Centers has acquired B&B Body and Paint in the Texas cities of Austin, San Marcos and Leander.

The acquisition includes five large-scale, high-volume collision centers and positions Service King as the largest independent and employee-owned collision repair organization in the country. It can now serve 70 percent of the $1.5 billion collision repair market in Texas.

“The acquisition of B&B Body and Paint allows us to start serving the people of South Austin, North Austin, San Marcos, Round Rock and Leander, Texas," said Jeremy Lennox, Service King’s vice president of the Austin market. “We’re thrilled about the addition of B&B’s talented employees and skilled technicians to our base of over 1,400
Service King Teammates throughout Texas.”

Service King began in 1976, when Chairman and CEO Eddie Lennox bought a small tin shack in west Dallas and posted a hand-painted sign. It’s been growing ever since.
