Chrysler Pacifica Earns Top Safety Honor

Oct. 11, 2016—The Chrysler Pacifica is the first minivan to earn a 2016 “Top Safety Pick+” honor from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, the organization recently announced.

The minivan had noteworthy ratings in the Institute’s five crashworthiness tests. The Pacifica had garnered an especially strong rating due to its optional front crash prevention system.

To qualify for a 2016 “Top Safety Pick+” award, a vehicle must earn stellar ratings in small overlap front, moderate overlap front, side, roof strength and head restraint tests.
