Sept. 10, 2015—The Alliance of Automotive Service Providers of New Jersey (AASP/NJ) will hold its annual meeting on Oct. 28 at the Gran Centurions Banquet Hall in Clark, N.J. The event will begin at 6:30 p.m. with a cash bar, leading to a 7 p.m. dinner.
AASP/NJ’s 2015 Annual Meeting will differ from other years by hosting an “Industry Overview” instead of its past speaker presentations.
"We decided to make this year's meeting something of an open forum," said Jeff McDowell, president of the association. "In the past, we typically ran through an awards ceremony, an association update, dinner and then one or two featured presenters. This year, we felt we needed to get to the issues much quicker, so after a few awards, we will get right to our program."
AASP/NJ will give a brief overview of the group’s activities and then open up the meeting to many of the topics cited in their recent survey. A question-and-answer period will follow.
"I think our members will welcome a chance to speak publicly about a lot of the problems they are having in today's automotive repair world," McDowell adds. "Things are changing so rapidly, sometimes it's easy to get lost in the shuffle. This meeting will attempt to help our shops try and avoid that."
The registration deadline for the event is Oct. 26. The cost for the event is $50 for members and $75 for non-member guests.
To register, email Charles Bryant, AASP/NJ executive director.
