Oct. 25, 2017—Delphi will acquire NuTonomy, a self-driving software startup, for $450 million, according to a CNBC report.
Delphi is acquiring the Boston-based startup to accelerate its development of autonomous cars.
The company's goal is to use NuTonomy's autonomous system in commercial vehicles in limited areas by 2019.
This acquisition comes almost a month after the company decided to rename itself 'Aptiv' to show its focus to on developing safety and self-driving technologies.
