OTC has released an update to its Ford Master cam tool kit, expanding coverage to include most Ford vehicles and the newest engines. The cam tools can be purchased as a full stand-alone 40-piece kit or an updated 22-piece set of tools for existing OTC kits.
“Servicing Ford engines tends to require a greater need for cam tools, as many technicians have found,” said Rob Kochie, OTC Product Manager. “Our updated kit applies to most Ford engines, including new models, to help get the job done faster.”
OTC Ford cam tool kits are available in three configurations:
- New 6690 full, 40-piece kit covering all 1991 to present Ford engines
- New 6690-1, 18-piece update kit to existing master cam tool sets, covering 2004 to present Ford engines
- Existing 6489, 22-piece kit covering 1992 through 2012 Ford engines
The kit covers L4, V6, V8 and V10 engines with 3- and 4-valve configurations, ensuring proper cam timing when servicing timing belts, chains, head gaskets or other valve train repairs.
