Jan. 8, 2018—Kelley Blue Book recently released its list of the 10 Best Automotive Technologies of 2018, pointing out some of the most innovative in-vehicle features that figure to become industry staples.

Some of the features mentioned in the article largely include updates to vehicle features that have already been in existence, such as: connected mobile apps, teen-driver report cards, adaptive cruise, LED headlights, and the utilization of USB ports.

A few elements mentioned, however, include features most consumers aren’t likely aware of. For example, rear cross-traffic alerts will provide drivers with not only a rear camera view when backing up, but, thanks to sensors on the rear of the vehicle, also boast the ability to beep and thus warn a driver of approaching vehicles, pedestrians, or shopping carts.

Kelley Blue Book also brought 360-degree vehicle cameras to consumers’ attention, noting that the evolving camera technology will utilize cameras on every side of a vehicle, to aid drivers with issues such as parallel parking, or parking at a shopping center.
