October 13, 2010—Web-Est release_notesd on Monday its top tips for building a website.

Here are a few to remember:

• Look professional. Don’t clutter your website with too many colors and graphics, but don’t leave it too bare looking.
• Check spelling and grammar. To be professional it is important to edit the content on your website.
• Less is more. Make smart graphics or stick to just photos of you and your shop.

"A business cannot market itself online without a website," said J.R. Seidel, Web-Est’s director of Internet marketing. "We speak to many customers who don't have a site and we let them know that marketing online just can't be done without an effective website. Our hope is to offer some direction on what is proven to be effective in terms of how that medium should be built."
