April 26, 2017—Axalta Coating Systems recently bestowed its 2016 Sustainable Star Award upon Marshall Auto Body of Waukesha, Wis. The Sustainable Star Award program, in its first year, was designed to recognize refinish customers that implement environmentally conscious initiatives.
Marshall Auto Body is credited with installing energy efficient equipment, motion sensors, and timing controls. One example of the Wisconsin shop’s environmentally conscious actions: 10,000 square feet of the facility’s roof include solar panels that provide more than 50 percent of its annual electricity.
“Protection of the environment is a critical part of our job. The auto industry can make a big difference in the quality of everyone's life by operating sustainably and minimizing wasteful activities,” said Scott Marshall, the shop’s owner.
