Scott Wendel Scholarship Fund Reaches $20,000 Milestone

Nov. 2, 2015

Nov. 2, 2015—A scholarship fund has been established in memory of Scott Wendel, a collision industry and claims industry veteran and football coach, who passed away unexpectedly last April while participating in the Collision Industry Conference in Atlanta.

The Scott Wendel Scholarship Fund will benefit the student-athletes he coached and cared for. The scholarship fund recently reached a milestone of $20,000 in contributions, with a stated goal of $25,000.

“We are so thankful for all of the thoughts, well wishes, and remarkable response of the insurance, collision repair, and local communities in honoring Scott,” said Shelley Wendell. “Our family is so very grateful to all of the contributors, both individuals and companies, over the past months. On behalf of entire family, Scott's close friends, the Ronald Reagan High School, and from the bottom of our hearts we can't thank you all enough."

Contributions to the fund can be made online at www.gofundme.com/xjybhc.
