ABRA Expands in Northeast, Enters New Jersey

Nov. 2, 2015

Nov. 2, 2015—ABRA Auto Body & Glass announced on Friday that it will add 12 new repair centers in the next few days in Pennsylvania, Delaware and New Jersey. This marks the first time that ABRA has been in the state of New Jersey.

The expansion announcement comes after a definitive agreement to acquire 11 CollisionMax Auto Body and Glass repair centers throughout Philadelphia and New Jersey. In a separate transaction, ABRA acquired Blue Hen Collision Repair Center located in Dover, Del.

This latest expansion more than doubles ABRA’s presence in the Northeast to a total of 24 repair centers just six months after entering the region.

“The Northeast presents tremendous potential for continued and controlled growth despite being a very new market for us,” said Duane Rouse, president and CEO of ABRA. “We carefully consider the brand fit and reputation each time we grow and I am confident these additions will continue to drive success for us and our business partners in these states for years to come.”

“For the past thirty years we have built our reputation around excellent customer service and a high quality repair, each of which is well aligned with ABRA’s mission. This transaction will bring increased opportunities for our communities, business partners, and team members alike,” said Pat Beavers, CollisionMax Auto Body and Glass COO.

Beavers, a past FenderBender Award winner, helped CollisionMax open its third facility in 1987 and by 1995, at just 26, was named the company’s first non-family co-owner. He has since helped grow the business into an 11-shop, $32-million-a-year collision repair powerhouse as COO.

Friday’s acquisitions will bring ABRA’s national repair center count to 332 in 24 states.
