July 7, 2010—Confirmed exhibitors for the Paint, Body & Equipment (PBE) section at this year’s SEMA Show has increased nearly 45 percent compared to last year.

Fifty-five companies signed up to participate at the end of priority booth selection last year, whereas 79 have confirmed for this year. In addition, hundreds of other companies, such as 3M, Sherwin Williams and PPG, will showcase paint and body products throughout the expo.

The PBE section was just introduced last year and this year’s growth is attributed to the expansion of the market and the increasing support of the show by industry professionals, according to a SEMA press release_notes.

“The paint and body market has increasingly become an important market,” said Peter MacGillivray, vice president of SEMA communications and events. “The landscape and business of automotive paint is changing…At the SEMA Show, we’re constantly evolving to adjust to the changing marketplace. It’s been exciting for us to be able to meet the needs of this market and provide businesses with new opportunities and cost savings.”
