May 18, 2015

May 18, 2015—Cooks Collision Centers has acquired Oakland Auto Body’s two locations, according to an announcement made Monday.

“We are honored to have Oakland Auto Body join the Cooks Team. They have been a respected collision repair provider in the Oakland area for more than 50 years. As a family owned and operated business, their values and culture are perfectly aligned with our own,” said Rick Wood, co-owner of  Cooks Collision Centers. “We are especially pleased that Ron Vincenzi, the company’s owner and a respected leader in the collision industry, has agreed to stay on and work with us as we continue our growth strategy.”

“I have known the Wood family since the 1970s when Cooks was owned and operated by Bob Wood. I have enjoyed a growing personal and professional relationship with Bob’s sons Rick and Don since they took over the business 15 years ago,” said Vinezi. “Our team, which includes my brother Alex, and son Dan, is excited about the opportunity to work with the Wood family and Cooks Collision. “

Cooks Collision is the largest independently owned and operated collision repair organization and the largest family owned repairer in the country with 36 locations total, including this acquisition.
