2014 FenderBender KPI Survey
Measuring performance through key performance indicators (KPIs) continues to become more commonplace and critical for success in the collision repair industry.
To provide a better look at how many shops are tracking performance data, what they’re tracking and how they’re doing, we launched our first KPI survey last year. We plan to conduct this survey annually to keep tabs on KPI trends in collision repair.
This year, 573 shops of varying sizes across the country completed our survey, made possible by Performance Gateway. Their input provides a telling snapshot of the state of performance measurement in today’s industry. As was shown last year, most shops are tracking performance, but there are still many that do not. It is clear, though, that the shops that monitor KPIs are leading the industry in terms of their size, sales volume and profit margins.
They are likely the shops that will be here for the long haul.
