July 15, 2010—The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) recently awarded the 2010 Trade Association Environmental Leadership Award to the New Hampshire Automobile Dealers Association (NHADA).
NHADA received the award for its work in creating outreach and assistance programs to help the New Hampshire collision industry comply with new environmental standards, and be more profitable and productive businesses. NHADA partnered with the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services (DES) to create the programs.
“I want to commend the New Hampshire Automobile Dealers Association for its leadership in providing its members with critical environmental information,” said Thomas Burack, DES commissioner. “Through NHADA’s work, its members and industry-related partners are learning the benefits of environmentally sustainable practices that make good business sense.”
The award was presented by the EPA’s Small Business Ombudsman/Small Business Environmental Assistance Programs (SBO/SBEAP) steering committee at its 17th annual conference in Arlington, Va. For more information about the awards program, go to smallbiz-enviroweb.org.
