March 10, 2016—The National Auto Body Council (NABC) announced Tuesday that it will host the Collision Industry Regional Golf Fundraiser at the Texas Star Golf Course in Dallas on April 7.
The event will provide collision repair businesses and professionals in the southwest an opportunity to meet and network while supporting the NABC’s community initiatives. Proceeds will help fund member programs including Recycled Rides, First Responder Emergency Extrication (FREE) and the Distracted Driving Initiative.
Three vehicles will be donated by State Farm and Allstate; repaired by NABC Diamond members Berkshire Hathaway Automotive, Caliber Collision and Service King; and will be presented to three local Dallas-area families in need.
“We have heard from businesses and individuals across the country who welcome the opportunity to network and collaborate on a local level with colleagues towards a common goal to promote the professionalism and integrity of the collision repair industry,” said Keith Egan of RW Mallon Auto Paint and Equipment, and chairman of NABC’s Fundraising committee. “Our goal in hosting regional golf events is to provide NABC members and supporters a fun, casual way to build and enhance relationships while we demonstrate our community service projects such as Recycled Rides and showcase the professionals in our industry.”
“The regional fundraiser also provides us with the opportunity to give back to the communities in which we live and work,” added Darren Huggins, national collision director of Berkshire Hathaway Automotive and chair of the Dallas golf fundraiser. “I am proud and appreciative of the commitment and generosity of so many of our colleagues in the collision industry who are stepping up to sponsor and participate in this southwest regional fundraiser to raise funds for our community service programs.”
