Wedge Clamp Introduces Anti-Static Tool

March 25, 2015

March 25, 2015—Wedge Clamp Systems recently announced the launch of the Stat-Gun, a device intended to eliminate static electricity in the paint department.

Used in lieu of a regular blow gun, the Stat-Gun plugs into the existing air supply and discharges an ion stream that neutralizes the car’s electrical charge as it clears away dust.

Wedge Clamp said that the tool helps halos disappear and reduces the need to "de-nib" the last painted coat because particles lie flatter on an electrically neutral surface.

The tool is certified safe and meets European ATEX approval for Class 1 flammable areas, including paint booths.
