March 3, 2015

March 3, 2015—Service King Collision Repair Centers announced Tuesday it has completed its acquisition of Chicago-based Central Collision Centers.

The acquisition of Central Collision Centers, which has six area locations, officially closed Feb. 27.

Service King now offers 13 locations in the Chicago metro area.

“The partnership between Service King and Central Collision is a great step for both of our teams as we continue to expand our offering of high-quality customer service and collision repair services throughout the Chicago market,” Jerod Guerin, Service King Collision Repair Centers regional vice president, said in a release. “Mike Caruso built a great team throughout all areas of the business, and we’re proud to bring our two teams together.”

Caruso, the owner of Central Collision, and winner of the 2013 FenderBender Executive Award, announced on Central Collision’s Facebook page that he is retiring after 34 years of owning the chain of seven Chicagoland shops.

“Service King shares the same values that we built our business on which their entire team exhibited throughout this transition process,” Caruso said in a release. “I trust that they will continue to provide our customers with the highest level of service and I’m excited for this new opportunity for our team.”

Central Collision Centers serves customers in the communities of Tinley Park, Peotone, Mokena, New Lenox, Oak Forest and Crete. The family-owned business first opened in Peotone in 1981.
